Kayak Ride highlights the mystery and beauty of nature. This piece aims to capture a moment of solitude while on the water, watching the sunset. This scene is specifically at located Emma Lake, SK., but could be on any body of water in Canada.
This painting is part of an online group exhibition by the senior painting students at the University of Saskatchewan's Snelgrove Gallery. Kayak Ride is a response to Saskatchewan artist Ernest Linder's Emma Lake. Kas chose to respond to Linder's piece because of the history of the Emma Lake Kenderdine Campus and her fond memories of attending the campus over summer months.
